“Singer/Songwriter Sinem Saniye Stirs Up New York City” -SPIN
THIS YEAR: In 2010 alone, Sinem's music was featured on Delta Airlines followed by a national US TOUR, (30 cities in a whopping 2.5 months,) garnered much press including TimeOUT NY, The Village Voice, Global Rhythm Magazine, and ended the tour in her native New York City by opening for the one and only, Lisa Loeb in a sold-out concert! In July she finished in the TOP 3 in a contest to play Lilith Fair NY, out of over 350 artists in the running. Her newest project, the music video for "I'll Confide," is now airing on MTV overseas. In previous years, Sinem also appeared on CNN (overseas), won the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, the Billboard World Song Contest 2008, was a finalist in the UK Songwriting Compeition, and played to a crowd of 15,000 New Yorkers in a annual 5th Avenue Parade, all on her own terms.
