“Sweetie Song” – Launching Globally 20th of August 2021

Australian / Italian / British rock troubadour Dion Palumbo is embarking on his 6th release
since establishing himself as a recognised songwriter, band leader and arranger from Sydney to London, via Liverpool and Manchester.
With this latest offering, Palumbo explores the joys and challenges we experience in all sorts of relationships.

Sweetie Song was written on holiday in the Blue Mountains of Australia in 2018. It was recorded and mixed pre and during the pandemic lockdowns of 2020/21, utilising both options of live studio and the necessary world of technology remotely with the help and skills of (Bryan Ferry) engineer, Simon Willey.

Palumbo’s work as a music therapist in London mental health centres, interest in story- telling and fascination with exploring the experiences of the social / psychological paradox through music inform this recording..
“Sometimes when we are going through a situation we hear a song on the radio or live, that completely relates to what we are going through. The song can provide insight and sometimes even inspiration towards a positive solution if we are open to it.”

4 days later Palumbo and his (hairdresser) Sweetie will be on the road from London to Europe en-route to Berlin busking, gigging and cutting hair as they go, continuing the release process abroad for the remainder of 2021 and into 2022 where 2 more singles and the album will be released.
