‘Dinner by Candlelight’ by Vermin & the Beachrat, is out October 15th and will be available to stream on all major
streaming platforms! The single lasts around three and a half minutes and sits at 120bpm. The track commences with a
four second introductory percussive section that builds a sense of anticipation for the verse. Vermin & the Beachrat’s
clean and emotive vocal color seamlessly synchronizes with the smooth vibe of the instrumentation. The foundational
acoustic guitar progression combines with the melodic electric guitar and rhythmic beat to provide perfect platform for
the vocal line.
A lead guitar break from around 0:48 to 0:58 delivers just the right amount of dynamic diversity to break-up the vocal and
ensure that this single is engaging throughout. The subtle use of an atmospheric vocal reverb adds a creative flare and
depth to the overall sound without detracting from the lyrical prominence. An instrumental section that kicks in from
around the 3:17 mark acts as the ideal transition for the outro. By the time ‘Dinner by Candlelight’ draws to a close,
you’ll find yourself humming along with the catchy hook and in need of hitting that repeat button for another listen.
From the well balanced production and memorable instrumentation, to the stylistic vocal performance and authentic
lyricism, fans of Vermin & the Beachrat, as well as those who appreciate new music, will definitely want to hear this
single. Make sure you follow Vermin & the Beachrat on social media to keep up to date with upcoming releases

Lyrics

“ Hello Joe, what’ll it be….”

Waitress pour me another cup a coffee
Think it’s gonna be a long, lonely night
I’ve been waiting – anticipating
Hopin I get this right
Heartbreak, shimmy shake, mighta made a mistake
Coming over here tonight
See your face shine in the moonlight
An have Dinner by Candlelight

Here’s your cup a coffee
I’ve got the candles out back
Try to drink it slowly
I’ll be right back
As she, walked, away
I just, had, to say….

Waitress pour me another cup a coffee
Think it’s gonna be a long, lonely night
I’ve been waiting – anticipating
Hopin I get this right
Heartbreak, shimmy shake, mighta made a mistake
Coming over here tonight
See your face shine in the moonlight
An have Dinner by Candlelight
( bridge
She lit the candles - I drifted away
We both smiled, Started right here one day, All I had to do was say…..

Waitress pour me another cup a coffee
Think it’s gonna be a long, lonely night
I’ve been waiting – anticipating
Hopin I get this right
Heartbreak, shimmy shake, mighta made a mistake
Coming over here tonight
See your face shine in the moonlight
An have Dinner by Candlelight,
Save my seat for tomorrow night’s, Dinner by Candlelight…
