About the artist

“The saddest thing in life is wasted talent”, a motto that Bronx raised singer-songwriter Laura Monaco lives by. At an early age, Laura immediately realized the boundless journey that lay before her, and since then, has tirelessly pursued her dreams. Years of professional vocal training followed, as well as extensive study at Berklee College of Music. Laura’s songs are an energetic electro pop/rock kaleidoscope of her world: glittery, sweet, and sultry-with a touch of sarcasm. “Radio ready…voice, songwriting, and production are all great,” says music industry mogul, Charles Koppelman. “Color Me Invisible” sounds like a dance/pop hit along the lines of “Tik Tok” by Ke$ha or Lady Gaga,” says Bob Leone (Songwriters Hall of Fame). No stranger to the New York music scene, Laura has played crowded shows at prestigious venues across New York City including Crash Mansion, The Cutting Room, and The Bitter End, alongside Pop Diva Lady Gaga. In 2008 she performed for the New York Mets during their final year at Shea Stadium in front of 30,000 people. Now Laura finds herself putting the finishing touches on her debut album “Whatcha Waitin For?” “For the first time in a long time, I feel free,” she says, “free to sing about experiences so personal to me, yet things everyone can relate to.” “Laura has strong storytelling ability. Her magnetic personality radiates from the very first note”-Didi Stewart, two-time recipient of the Boston Music Award for Best Female Rock Vocalist and Asst. Professor of Voice, Berklee College of Music. "I did not choose music, music chose me...Music is my life and my therapy," “It is not just my passion, but my goal to make music that is a vehicle to inspire and motivate others-much in the same way that music has been my own motivation and strength throughout the years.”
